How the FIGHTING SIOUX LACROSSE started!
This prestigious location for this Lacrosse program is located in the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley roughly 50 minutes from Regina,SK. Lacrosse program was started by Russ Matthews in 2008 and quickly became a powerhouse program winning League, Provincial and National Championships!
The program in 2019 provided big steps forward establishing a Junior program and winning in the first year, signing Jeff Shattler (Saskatchewan Rush Player) as Player/Coach Development Director and starting the building blocks to establish STANDING BUFFALO LACROSSE ASSOCIATION!
The Chief and the Tribal Council supports the Lacrosse program because of the strong dividends it provides back to the members of the community! Providing exciting and fun activities at the same time preserving the aboriginal heritage of the Sport of Lacrosse will always remain the backbone towards this program! Jeff Shattler is the Standing Buffalo Player-Coach Director will provide helpful content to keep everyone developing forward. Information will also be posted so coaches understand their certification with the National Coaching Certification Program - NCCP and the Coaches Association of Canada - The Locker.
