POSTER - CLICK HERE

We are proud to release the official Tatanka Najin Wacipi Poster for August 8, 9 & 10, 2025, hosted on the sacred lands of Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation. This year’s theme — "Honouring Our Culture & Traditions" — calls all Nations, all families, and all generations to come together in unity, celebration, and cultural excellence.

Grand Entry Times:
Friday – 8:00 PM
Saturday – 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM
Sunday – 1:00 PM

This year’s Wacipi will feature a powerful lineup of contests, exhibitions, and special categories, with Indian Hill (California) as our Host Drum, and some of the strongest drums from across Turtle Island joining us. From the fireworks display to the moccasin tournament, Indian Auction, Chicken Dance Special, Tiny Tot Initiation Special, and Princess Pageant — the entire weekend will be streamed live to the world on PowWows.com.

We offer our sincere thanks to the Pow-wow Committee for their outstanding leadership, and to every person whose hands and hearts are helping bring this vision to life — including our Dancers, Elders, SBDFN Staff, Cultural Advisors, Youth, Lacrosse Team, Arena Directors, Vendors, MCs, Volunteers, and all our Families and Visitors.

Special acknowledgment is extended to our Security Staff, who are now gathering to plan the safety and flow of the weekend. Their presence will ensure that all guests and community members can enjoy the powwow in a safe and well-coordinated environment. Thank you for stepping forward with such commitment and care.

We are also pleased to announce that Standing Buffalo has finalized our list of Dignitaries to be invited to Grand Entry, which includes respected political representatives and other special guests.

Any dignitaries who wish to attend a Grand Entry are asked to email:

standingbuffalo@sasktel.net
with the subject line: GRAND ENTRY 2025
All names will be respectfully forwarded to the Pow-wow Committee for official inclusion.

Please Like and Share this poster widely so that friends, relatives, dancers, singers, and guests can prepare to join us. We are located just 78 km northwest of Regina, 6 km west of Fort Qu’Appelle, at the base of Echo Valley Provincial Park.

As hosts, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation will be on full display. We are proud of who we are. We are proud of our history. And we intend to show all of our visitors and guests just how strong, united, and well-organized our Nation truly is. Come witness the power of community, the beauty of our culture, and the pride of a people who continue to rise with dignity and purpose.

Let the drum awaken the land. Let the people come forth in honour. Let us dance for those who came before and those yet to come.
